The purpose of the Local Reporter is to provide a method by which the general public may submit information to our website.
In general, our submissions fall under two categories;
1.Breaking News- includes fires, accidents, severe weather conditions, etc?
2.Promoting an Event- this may include the promotion of an upcoming event or reporting on one that already occurred.

Instructions:
Step 1
Type in your name, email address and current phone number where you can be reached. If you are not the contact person please include the correct name and phone number. If this information is incorrect or fictitious we will consider the story not valid and discard it.
Step 2
Select the type of story you are submitting. Choose between breaking news or promoting an event.
Step 3
Next, type in the information from your story. Try to keep this part short and about the main facts. We would suggest using the following guidelines.

Sample Story Format
Who: Jane Doe
What: She was involved in a car accident, details are unclear but it looks like a deer ran out in front of her car. Although her car was heavily damaged Jane was not seriously injured.
When: Sometime in the afternoon on Friday January 14
Where: Happened on Highway 4 south just outside of Val Marie.
Why: Not Applicable
Step 4
If you have a picture involving the story click on the browse button, then find the location of the picture on your computer. Select the picture and then click open. If you have more than one picture it's best to load them into presentation program such as powerpoint then upload the powerpoint file.
Step 5
Before you click on the submit button go over all the information and make sure it?s correct. Then when you?re ready, click on the submit button.
