Jackie Powell and Jayci Wittmeier will participate in the the 25th Anniversary Rick Hansen Relay as it makes a stop over in Swift Current. The City is one of 600 communities to host the Relay as it travels 12 000km across Canada. Come out and cheer on Medal bearers.

The festivities will kick off at 4:00 at O.M. Irwin School as Jackie Powell joins 17 other medal bearers in the Relay making its' way through the downtown core. Jayci Wittmeier will then join the Relay at Chaplin and 18th Avenue N.E. and conclude at the End of Day Celebration at the iplex. Activities at the iplex will include Wheel chair Hockey demonstrations, Rick Hansen Relay Displays, Skating relays and Free Public Skating with Charlie Horse, SunDog and Ronald McDonald.
