50 Impaired Drivers Charged Through Operation Overdrive
The results are in from the May Long Weekend Traffic Blitz, Operation Overdrive with 50 motorists charged for impaired driving, 27 temporary driver's licence suspensions were handed out and 28 tickets for having open liquor in a vehicle. Throughout the weekend, more than 1300 tickets were issued to Saskatchewan motorists, including over 700 for aggressive driving (speeding, failing to stop or yield, crossing a solid line) over 120 tickets for improper or non-seatbelt use and close to 60 tickets for distracted driving or cellphone use while driving.
