As the Canadian Navy celebrates 100 years in 2010, a number of community presentations are taking place across the country to towns and cities with ships named in their honor. The HMCS Swift Current was recently recognized by Canadian Navy officials in Swift Current.

The Canadian Navy will officially mark its Centennial on May 4 with celebrations planned Nationwide.
