Swift Current City Council voted in favor of signing a new Collective Agreement last night with CUPE Local 183 following a similar vote made by union members on February 15. The new three year contract covers the time frame of January 2, 2012 through December 28, 2014.

Susan Motkaluk, CAO for the City for Swift Current indicates the new contract includes wage increases of 3.5 percent each year along with increases in vacation entitlement. She further adds the negotiations between the two parties were completed in a matter of days as the City of Swift Current strives to be an Employer of Choice.
