A Toronto Man is facing a series of Criminal charges following an arrest near Swift Current on Friday. Swift Current Regional Traffic Services Unit stopped an Eastbound vehicle on Highway #1, 4 Km West of Swift Current on Saturday, February 6 at approximately 8:00 PM for a speeding violation. The RCMP seized in excess of 600 lbs of Cannabis Marihuana as well in excess of $5,000 Canadian currency. The driver was arrested and remanded and appeared in Swift Current Provincial Court Today.

48 year old, Claude Fournier of Toronto, Ontario is charged with Possession for the purpose of trafficking and Possession of property obtained by crime less than or equal to $5,000.

Fournier was released with a court date set for March 24 in Swift Current.
