Five people are deceased following a tragic collision of two air planes in Saskatchewan on Saturday. According to the RCMP, one plane was en-route from Regina to La Ronge with an adult Male and Female on board. The second plane was traveling from Calgary to St. Brieux with three occupants. Two adult Males and one young Male. Just before 9:00am on Saturday, Wakaw RCMP responded to a 911 call of a plane crash. Upon arrival, a plane was found submerged in a slough by Emergency First Responders during a ground search. Further investigation revealed that this aircraft collided mid air with another air craft. A second aircraft was located in the vicinity. The RCMP Underwater Recovery Team was on scene throughout the day.

Transport Canada is investigating the accident.
