Judge Orders Strict Conditions for Swift Current Man

65 year old Peter Ginter of Swift Current made two appearances in Swift Current Provincial Court yesterday following his arrest on Thursday. Ginter faces charges of Break and Enter, Pointing a Fire Arm, Use of a Fire Arm in a Careless Manner, Possession of an Un-Registered Fire Arm and Storage of Fire Arms in a Careless Manner. Ginter's case has been adjourned until Monday morning, however the Judge agreed to release him on strict conditions until further notice. This includes keeping the peace, reside at an agreed to location by the Court, staying away from his farm Northwest of Swift Current to the distance of 1000ft, having no contact with the complainant, no use of fire arms or other explosives, refrain from alcohol and drugs and establishments offering these substances. RCMP arrested Ginter on Thursday at the farm yard in the RM of Swift Current following a call by the complainant. Weapons were seized from property and the road was blocked off to the traveling public by the RCMP for most of the day.

Peter Ginter was escorted by RCMP into Swift Current Provincial Court on Friday morning. The accused will be back in Court on Monday for a preliminary hearing.
