Cypress Hills Grasslands, M.P. David Anderson was in Swift Current today bringing good news on behalf of the Federal Government. The Lyric Theatre in downtown Swift Current received a cheque in the amount of $500 000 through the Canadian Heritage Building Canada Through Arts and Heritage Fund. The Federal grant money matches the $500 000 raised locally by the Lyric and will be used for the restoration of the exterior of the building. The first phase is to make the building structurally sound.
