Milder Than Expected Winter Now in the Forecast
Environment Canada experts have re-adjusted their forecast models for the 2011-12 winter. Officials had originally forecast a colder than normal winter, however December's milder than expected weather pattern across the Prairies has changed the outlook for the long term forecast.
David Phillips of Environment Canada is now calling for a near normal temperature range for January and February in Southwest Saskatchewan. The normal High for this time of the year is -9 with a Low of -19. Image courtesy of Environment Canada.
