Around 11:45am on Friday, the Moose Jaw RCMP, Fire Dept and Emergency services were dispatched to a report of a vehicle fire, 1km of West of Belle Plain in the West bound lane of Highway #1. The vehicle had started smoking so the driver pulled over and soon after became completely engulfed in flames. The driver and only occupant of the vehicle was unharmed.

Traffic was restricted in the area for a short period of time on Friday.
