The Cypress Health Region has welcomed a new Surgeon to the Cypress Regional Hospital this week. Dr. Aqeel Ghori moved to Swift Current on June 4th from Great Brain with his wife and two young children. Dr. Ghori has seven years consultant experience from Great Britain specializing in surgeries pertaining Colorectal Cancer and looks forward to advancing our department. Dr. Ghori says he has committed to serving at least three years in our region and looks forward to challenging himself in a smaller setting.

Dr. Ghori says equipment and medical procedures here are consistent with Great Britain. He adds, the biggest difference is the atmosphere in the sense seven residences would typically work together in Great Britain whereas here one surgeon is responsible for all of the duties.
