Out of Control Charter Bus Near Chaplin
Around 4:00pm on Thursday, RCMP received a 911 call regarding a bus that was Westbound on the #1 Highway 25-30km West of Chaplin; the bus left the road and drove through the center median on the South side of the road for approximately 200 meters. The Driver regained some control and crossed the Highway to the North side ditch for a brief distance. The driver was able to then return the bus to the North shoulder of the Westbound lanes. Ambulance crews treated three passengers on scene for minor injuries. The bus in question was one of two charter buses carrying the Regina recreational ski club enroute to Canmore Alberta. A replacement bus was sent to pick up the 28 passengers from the bus in question.
Thursday's incident is under investigation by the RCMP.
