The City of Swift Current and its' neighboring RM are kicking off 2012 on a positive note following a pre-Christmas meeting. Discussions on December 15 between the two parties showed signs of a continuous regional partnership and sights set on the social and economic prospects of the region and best interests of local residents.

These ongoing discussions between the City and the RM of Swift Current coincide with the Planning for Growth Relationship Building Agreement approved on January 28, 2011. $40 000 was approved for the project by the Province with the City and RM each investing $10 000, and the remaining $20 000 from the Province of Saskatchewan through the Planning for Growth Fund.
