Post Flood Meeting Held In Maple Creek

Approximately 500 residents showed up for a public meeting yesterday to learn about the Provincial Disaster Assistance Program (PDAP). Officials outlined the $160,000 worth of relief which is the maximum pay out for each case. This money will be paid out to commercial, personal and in some cases farm land owners. There are a number of criteria that need to be met before people can qualify for the relief money. There were mixed reviews from residents at the meeting as some felt their needs were being met, while others felt let down by the amount of aid they will be receiving.
