Representatives of the Chinook School Division, Grasslands National Park and other community stakeholders gathered on Thursday in Swift Current to mark the 8th anniversary of the Prairie Learning Centre's partnership with the School Division in Southwest Saskatchewan. The education project targets highschool student programming throughout the year at Grasslands National Park with over 500 students participating this past year. The Chinook School Division invests approximately $50 000.00 annually to the Prairie Learning Centre with funds used for a half- time educator along with clerical assistance.

Christie Thomson is the Manager of the Prairie Learning Centre and says students not only from the Chinook School Division but from across the Province and on an International level benefit from the programs at the Centre.
