Following a unanimous vote by City Council members last night, the Swift Current Recreation Centre will be re-named the Colonel Clifton Centre. The decision was made by Council after an application was made to the City by the family of Iver Clifton. Clifton has a long standing history with the City through his involvement with the Armouries, Chamber of Commerce and Swift Current Legion. The City of Swift Current will incur the costs associated with any signage for the renaming of the Recreation Centre.
