SaskPower Continues to Restore Service Across Saskatchewan

A series of storms across the Province have left many residents without power this week and SaskPower crews are working around the clock to restore service. Areas still requiring full service restoration include: Prince Albert. LaRonge, Debden, Shellbrook and Big River. Heavy rain and wind slowed down the process on Wednesday in these areas, as power disruptions were in effect since a storm blew through this area on Monday. SaskPower crews were also busy across Southern Saskatchewan on Wednesday dealing with outages in Regina, Saskatoon, Wynyard, Hudson Bay, Sturgis, Preeceville, Veregin, Stenen, Pelly and Norquay. Customers are asked for their help in minimizing their electricity use until power is fully restored. Turn off any lights or electronic devices if they aren’t needed, and avoid doing laundry or running dishwashers.

SaskPower continues to experience problems with the toll-free outage information line (310-2220). In the meantime, additional SaskPower customer services representatives have been brought in to answers calls. Representatives are dealing with customers on an individual basis, and processing calls as quickly as possible. Note that wait times may be longer than normal as crews work to restore service.
