Swift Current is on of 6 Saskatchewan communities named a finalist in the In-Motion Community Pledge Challenge. Now through January 29 you're encouraged to Vote On-line and help Swift Current win the $10 000 prize. The City of Swift Current would use the funds to expand the after school fitness program, Fit For Fun. Swift Current 's In Motion Community Facilitator, Val Choo Foo encourages everyone to VOTE once a day, each day at www.jumpin.ca and Click on VOTE.

In late 2011, on-line pledges were made by community residents committing to increasing their physical activity. This portion of the contest saw Unity place 1st with 637 pledges and Swift Current followed in 2nd spot with 459 pledges. In total, 23 Saskatchewan communities came forward for the In Motion Community Pledge Challenge.
