Swift Current Man's Court Case Adjourned
Following two appearances in Swift Current Provincial Court on Friday, 65 year old Peter Ginter of Swift Current was back before the Judge this morning. The Judge granted Ginter 3 weeks to seek the assistance of a Lawyer and make his next appearance on February 6 in Provincial Court. Ginter faces charges of Break and Enter, Pointing a Fire Arm, Use of a Fire Arm in a Careless Manner, Possession of an Un-Registered Fire Arm and Storage of Fire Arms in a Careless Manner. RCMP arrested Ginter on January 12 at his farm yard in the RM of Swift Current following a call by a complainant who also resided on the property. Weapons were seized from property and then Ginter was taken into custody. Following today's Court appearance, Ginter remains out of jail on strict conditions including: Keeping the peace, having no contact with the complainant, no use of fire arms or other explosives, refrain from alcohol and drugs and establishments offering these substances. Ginter can now return to his farm residence following the recent move of the complainant from the neighboring residence in the same farm yard.
