The Swift Current Rotary Club is joining other relief efforts in assisting the people of Haiti following the devastating earthquake in January. To date the local Rotary Club has committed to send three Shelter Boxes to Haiti. These units consists of a portable housing system, begging, pots, pans, basic tools such as hammers and saws, a stove, water purification system and toys for the children- enough items to support 10 individuals.

The Cypress Regional Medical Association has recently come forward and donated $1000.00 to purchase a Shelter Box for Haiti. Now the Swift Current Rotary Club is challenging other professional groups and associations to participate in the Shelter Box program.
