Swift Current Mayor and Council have voted in favor of renewing its' contract with P & A Enterprises for the continued operation of the Tel-a-Bus system. The new contract is in effect from January 1, 2012-December 31, 2014 with the City paying the operator $2006.25 per month in 2012; 2046.38 in 2013 and 2087.31 per month plus GST in 2014. The City also looks after the maintenance of the buses while the operator collects and retains the bus fare of $1.50 per person for a one way trip.

Mac Forster, Director of Engineering for the City of Swift Current indicates a new bus transportation study is underway and depending on the outcome, bus fares may eventually increase if a new system is approved.
