In the coming weeks City Light and Power crews will be out working on the 2012 Tree Trimming and Removal Program. The annual initiative by the City is meant as a proactive measure to trim tree branches which could cause power disruptions in many Swift Current neighborhoods. City Light & Power further recommends that property owners consider overhead power lines when selecting the species and location of their trees.

Tree Trimming is planned for the Northwest area of the City in 2012 (Central Ave N to 11th Ave NW & North Railway St W to George St W).
